About Rahu Ketu:

Rahu and Ketu are the two gods who control the individual's actions, courage emotion, sorrow, valour sin , and can provide anxiety and mental problems in present life based on personal past karmas and previous lives. Rahu is the one who governs the parts of the head and Ketu is responsible for the head. Ketu is the one who controls the speech, ears, hearing , etc.

The tale is that of RAHU KETU god

There were always wars among those of the Devas as well as the Asuras. The Asuras always prevailed due to their Guru Shukracharya's Mritha Sanjivini power that the guru acquired as a result of his penance and apologies to the god of Shiva. Shiva. The power of Mritha Sanjivini is that it has the ability to bring dead people and bring them and bring them back to the life they once had. This way, every Asura which was killed during the battle by the Devas were restored to life through this manthra. This ensured continuous victory for Devas as the Asuras ruled the skies.

Lord Indra King Indra of the Devas visited the home of Lord Vishnu together with the rest of the Devas and offered prayers to Lord Vishnu. He prayed to the Lord and asked him for an answer. Lord Vishnu requested the Devas to make in the Milk Ocean (Saagar Manthan) and then eat the amrith that rises out from this ocean. In order to accomplish this, they'd require the assistance by the Asuras.

Lord Indra was in heaven and sought peace. He also declared that from now on, the Devas and Asuras will never fight against one another, and they were told the necessity to churn the milk ocean and the power to consume the Amrith. The Asuras also were in agreement, and within their dark minds, they thoughtthat after the churning process is finished as well as the Amrith is discovered We will take the Amrith.

The massive churning of the milk ocean started, with Mount Meru acting as the churner as well as The King of Serpents Lord Vishnu's bed. great Naga, Vaasuki, was demanded to be used as rope.

From advising that the Good Devas to stir through the ocean. The divine Lord Vishnu stood with against the Devas and shielded them at all occasions from any danger by proving God has always been with the Good and doesn't destroy evil, but he does control the evil, and ensures that Good and Evil are in harmony and it is possible to discern between the Good and the Evil.

Lord Vishnu had instructed the Devas to stay by the side of Vaasuki to avoid poison leaking from Vaasuki's mouth and the Asuras stood on the front of Vaasuki unaware of the potent poison from the Great Vaasuki.

When the massive churning began happening, the massive Mount Meru, began to slide down the Vaasuki ropes, and then slide into the ocean. Lord Vishnu assumed in the shape of tortoise (Koorma Avathaara) and went down the ocean bed . He lifted to the Mount Meru and balanced it.

After turning into the Milk Ocean (Kshir saagar) for several years, the first thing to happen was Halahala (poison) This poison could destroy all creations. Therefore it was not even contemplating it Lord Shiva was able to see this poison emerge from the ocean. He immediately began to drink it. Goddess Parvathi was able to see the immense mercy of her divine lord for the good beings in the world, and the neck of Lord Shiva was blocked by pressing it. Thus that the poison didn't get into Lord Shiva's stomach, instead, it remained in his throat. And the neck began to turn blue. He was referred to as NeelaKanta The one with a blue throat.

The effects of the churning ocean resulted in a variety of things that emerged from the ocean. A few are included here, but not in way or order. Surabhi and the sacred cow Kamadhenu Apsaras (angels) as well as the divine horses (UcchaiShravaas) Divine elephant (Airaavatham), vaaruni (half-angel half-demoness), kaustubha (divine necklace), parijatha (divine blossom tree with flowers), kalpaka vruksha (another beautiful trees), Shankh (Vishnu's conch) Tulsi plant (Basil) and many more.

In the end, Goddess Lakshmi emerged from the ocean. When the godly Lord Vishnu was attracted by her beauty, and offered to be his bride to his eternal home Vaikuntam The Goddess Lakshmi was able to accept Vishnu to be her Lord.

The churning continued for many years, and on one particular day it happened to be Ashwayuja Month, Krishna Paksha Dwaadhashi (dark fortnight on the 12th day of the 12th) in which Lord Vishnu himself was transformed into the Lord Dhanvanthri (the divine doctor) emerged from the milky ocean, armed with the Golden Amrith vessel in his right hand, Ayurveda text in his left hand, a shankh (conch) within his left hand, as well as discus (sudarshan chakra) in his right back hand. He was wearing a bright yellow cloth that was wrapped around his waist. the Lord was depicted as a bright light bursting from a dark sea and was blue in color with his eyes looking kindly and loving.

The Asuras became greedy and tried to take their hands of the Amrith (Nectar that is the source of Immortality) of Lord Dhanvanthri In the midst of this, fierce battle started in the battle between Devas with Asuras. Asuras, Lord Garuda (transport vehicle of Lord Vishnu) came to the scene in his most majestic form the divine and powerful bird. He stole his Amrith away from Lord and flew off to protect it. When Lord Garuda flew in the direction of nectar, four drops fell onto the ground and became holy places for worship.

Lord Dhanvanthri was disguised as Mohini and the beautiful women who was dancing before both the Asuras as well as their Devas which were fighting. the Asuras were enticed by her beauty and departed the battle and began dancing to Mohini in her wake. the Devas were awestruck by her beauty. They soon discovered that Mohini is Lord Vishnu himself. Therefore they began to sit in a row. Sooner or later, the Asuras also started sitting on the opposite side of the Devas watching Mohini, Mohini was now standing with the Amrith pot and began giving the nectar out to the Devas as the Asuras were patiently waiting for their turn. However, one of the asuras named SvarBhanu realized something was wrong and the nectar might be over it, and in silence she slipped his sides and sat the middle of Surya(Sun) as well as Chandra(Moon) dressed as the form of a Deva. The Devas were unaware of it as did Mohini who was distributing amrith. SvarBhanu took a sip of Amrith and consumed it swiftly, Surya and Chandra suddenly were looking at their sides and were able to figure clear that it was an asura disguised as an asura and were able to tell Mohini.

SvarBhanu is the name given to him by Viprachit(father) along with Simhika(mother), Simhika was the daughter of HiranyaHiranya Kashyapa the demon of the greatest rank which was also the mother of Prahlaadha the most revered worshiper for Lord Vishnu.

Mohini immediately changed to Lord Vishnu who hurled the Sudarshana chakra, which removed SvarBhanu's neck however, because he'd already drunk nectar, he did not die. Lord Brahma created SvarBhanu's head and body to join with the body of a snake. the snake's head joined with SvarBhanu's body. The snake's body was later called RAHU while the serpent's head was joined to SvarBhanu's body. This became known as KETU.

Lord Brahma has granted RAHU and KETU the blessing of accepting this new form. It also gave them and a spot among the planets, called the Navagrahas. The RAHU and the KETU, to this day, keep the anger towards surya and chandra. They also create lunar and solar eclipses to impact their lives.

RAHU and KETU's strength increases between sunrise and sunset, their vengeance-inducing power is so powerful that they create an astrological time period known as the RAHU KALAM that lasts throughout the day for 1 hour and 30 mins. This period is thought to be highly unlucky to perform any good deeds, and is only suitable for the purpose of praising the goddess mother (Devi).
